Forest Hills Northern High School is one of the three high schools in the Forest Hills Public Schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The district's two other high schools include Forest Hills Central High School and Forest Hills Eastern High School. In athletics, the school currently competes as a member of the Ottawa-Kent Conference Blue Division (referred to as the "O-K Blue").
Among other achievements, in 2007, Forest Hills Northern brought forth seven National Merit Finalists, two National Achievement Scholarship Finalists, and eight Michigan Math Prize Competition finalists. The boys' and girls' tennis, boy's cross country, volleyball, competitive cheer, gymnastics, hockey, boy's swimming and diving, boy's lacrosse and boy's and girl's track teams have all been conference champions. In the 2006-2007 school year, Northern's debate team won the Ziegelmueller Award for the best debate team in the state of Michigan.
